In high school, I started to notice that I would take a really long time on tests. My grades were pretty bad at the time. One of my teachers told my parents that I might have Attention Deficit Disorder. So my parents and I talked about it, and I went in to my pediatrician and he started me out on a low dose of medicine. I had a lot of problems after that. A lot of social problems. I would fight with my friends and my girlfriend. It was not good, and this was junior year of high school, so you know, its a tough time. I stopped the medicine completely because I felt like the medicine had more problems than it did good. Right now I work as a bike messenger and that's a really fast paced job. I got to keep track of a lot of things. Occasionally I'll forget something, or I'll mismanage a couple of packages, but no more than anyone else. One thing I do, anywhere I go, I keep one of these on me, and anytime, anyone tells me anything that is important, I write it down. When I was younger, it was more difficult, because my body was changing. Now I've become so comfortable with Attention Deficit Disorder, and I have a lot of ways, a lot of tools to manage it.
